Description:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team which ensures effective operation and maintenance of the plant and machinery. The Maintenance Supervisor will also ensure the maintenance team implements plant safety initiatives and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. The Maintenance Supervisor will perform additional duties as assigned.

Duties:
  • Coordinate the installation, repair and maintenance of facilities and machinery.
  • Provide guidance to technicians and other maintenance employees.
  • Supervise the maintenance operations of a production facility.
  • Provide technical assistance to department directors, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technicians, etc.
  • Ensure Maintenance Technicians follow all maintenance and safety standards while performing their responsibilities.
  • Track work order requests created for production machinery and facility’s needs.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager in the selection, onboarding, and training of all hourly Maintenance team members.
  • Oversee/assist with the preventative maintenance or as-needed repairs on facilities or systems, which may include mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC or other environmental management systems, generators or power management systems, or fire or safety systems.
  • Coordinate basic repairs and organize the work of specialists when more complex repairs are needed.
  • Schedules maintenance or repairs to minimize disruptions to organizational operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

  • 3-5 years minimum experience in Electrical and mechanical.
  • Proficient in AC voltage 120 to 480.
  • Single phase and three phase knowledge.
  • Proficient in mechanical fabrication of steel and aluminum components.
  • Proficient knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
  • Low voltage and control voltage wiring knowledge required.
  • Welding and/or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a fork-lift and pallet jack.
  • Proficient in hand tool and handheld power tool use.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously as needed.
  • Ability to lead a team of technical team members with varied backgrounds and experience levels to ensure maintenance of the facility and its machinery.
  • Resiliency and adaptability to frequent changes in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • 2 – 4 years minimum experience in industrial maintenance required.
  • Troubleshooting, electrical, and mechanical – 2-4 years of experience required.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to work at an elevated height up to 35 feet.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to repetitively bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, lift, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment, including looking at screens for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
