Under general direction, this position is responsible for semi-skilled and skilled building maintenance work of some degree of difficulty. A person in this position assists and participates in a variety of tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, general mechanical repair work and janitorial duties. Work is performed under the daily supervision of a building supervisor.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work requires a significant amount of standing, stooping, kneeling, walking, sitting, talking, listening, reaching with hands and arms, the ability to safely lift and transfer up to 150 pounds, and the ability to travel when required. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Moderate noise in a commercial building setting. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
COMMUNICATIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Work in this classification is considered medial physical work requiring the exertion of 20 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to:
