Maintenance Technician – Industrial (Hospital Setting) Safety Sensitive Position Monday -Friday plus Call Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our hospital’s facilities team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hospital equipment, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and building systems to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and external vendors to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of building systems and equipment, HVAC, electrical or plumbing systems, as required through vocational or technical high school courses. Ability to operate or use the following tools/equipment : standard hand tools, meter, electrically powered tools and refrigerant equipment. Preferred High school diploma or GED equivalent


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as HVAC, electrical, or mechanical licenses are preferred.
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
