Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related process industry
• Perform troubleshooting, routine maintenance and repair of plant utilities including: Diesel and electric boilers, Pumps, chillers, air compressors, heaters, electrical panels, MCBs, and industrial sockets
• Conduct maintenance and repair activities for process equipment such as: Fermenters, Continuous centrifuges, Homogenizers, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems, Spray dryers, refrigerators and HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems , including: Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, HMI, Breakers, Relays.
• Perform basic mechanical fabrication tasks such as welding, drilling, and grinding—especially on stainless steel and mild steel components
• Ensure safe operation of all plant equipment in line with safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
• Support the upkeep of piping systems and drainage in fermentation areas
• Assist in inventory management of spare parts and tools; coordinate with local vendors for outsourced maintenance and fabrication work
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and proactively resolve operational issues to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all maintenance activities
• Work effectively in rotational shifts (A/B/C) whenever required
• Proficient in English and Kannada (spoken and written)
