Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician with strong technical expertise in troubleshooting, control systems, PLC programming, and electrical/mechanical maintenance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with electrical switchboards, EOT cranes, and compressors, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of all plant equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to control systems, PLCs, motor drives, and automation equipment.
- Maintain and repair electrical switchboards, breakers, contactors, and relays.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in EOT cranes, hoists, and lifting systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on air compressors, dryers, and related equipment.
- Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and control instruments as required.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on system upgrades or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (if applicable).
- Adhere to all safety policies, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in a maintenance technician role.
- Strong knowledge in:
- PLC troubleshooting and programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Control panels and relay logic
- Electrical switchboards and power distribution systems
- EOT crane maintenance and control systems
- Air compressors (piston/screw type)
- Familiarity with VFDs, sensors, timers, and industrial control components.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and respond to breakdowns quickly.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and industrial codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in PLC programming, industrial automation, or electrical maintenance.
- Experience with SCADA or HMI systems.
- Exposure to ISO standards, TPM, or predictive maintenance strategies.
Working Conditions:
- Must be willing to work in rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call duty when required.
- Work involves standing, climbing, lifting, and exposure to industrial noise and heat.
