Maintenance Technician

PMCO is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry in Queens, NY!

Pay: $25 – $35/hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support CNC machining operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment. This role is hands-on and requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) and related automation equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues involving motors, spindles, drives, sensors, and PLCs
• Conduct machine rebuilds, alignments, and calibrations to ensure peak performance
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory
• Coordinate with external service providers as needed
• Partner with production and engineering teams to plan scheduled maintenance and process improvements
• Follow all safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace
• Support occasional overtime for urgent or critical repairs

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a CNC manufacturing environment (aerospace experience a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems
• Preventive maintenance mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work 1st shift with flexibility for overtime as needed
