Stay Winter Park, a well-established local business in Grand County with over four decades of experience and a base of 200 units, is expanding its services to include Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash, Granby, and Grand Lake. We are actively seeking new team members to support our growth and help us continue to be the best local provider for both vacation rental guests and second homeowners.
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for keeping our vacation rental properties in top condition—safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning. With a large portfolio, multiple property types, and seasonal extremes (snow, cold, remote access), you’ll need to be versatile, responsive, and proactive. Your work directly impacts guest satisfaction, owner retention, and the reputation of our company.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks and repairs across all assigned vacation rental properties, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, appliance repair, drywall, painting, door/window maintenance, furniture repairs.

Handle guest maintenance requests quickly and professionally; prioritize emergency issues (e.g. plumbing leaks, heating failures, electric issues) to minimize disruptions.

Conduct routine inspections (pre-guest, post-guest, seasonal) to identify issues, safety hazards, and wear & tear; ensure each rental is guest-ready.

Winterize and de-winterize properties as needed (insulating pipes, shutting off exterior faucets, ensuring heating systems function, snow/ice mitigation, etc.).

Manage snow removal (driveway, walkways), ice control, and ensure safe access during winter months.

Maintain and monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts; ensure you have what’s needed before demand spikes.

Assist with and sometimes lead property turnover tasks (light cleaning, touch-ups, resetting furnishings or appliances between guests).

Coordinate with third-party vendors (for specialized repairs, structural work, roofing, etc.), supervising work and ensuring quality.

Maintain detailed work orders: record what was done, what materials used, time/hours, follow-ups needed. Communicate status to management.

Perform preventative maintenance tasks to reduce emergency issues and prolong life of equipment / property components.

Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements: local building codes, fire/safety codes (smoke & CO detectors, exit routes, fire extinguishers), environmental safety.

Be available for on-call issues / emergencies outside regular business hours, and flexible schedule especially during peak season.
Preferred Skills:

Certifications or training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or in specific safety codes.

Experience with vacation rentals or hospitality—guest expectations, quick turnovers.

Experience with tools and technology: using mobile apps for work orders, inventory, checklists.

Previous experience in winterizing homes, snow/ice management.

Local knowledge of Grand County weather, infrastructure, supply vendors.

Proven experience in maintenance, handyman work, property maintenance, or similar trades.

Solid skills in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry.

Comfortable working in a mountain / rural setting: driving between properties, sometimes remote locations, dealing with snow, weather extremes.

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.

Strong troubleshooting ability, independent problem solving.

Good communication skills—able to interact with guests, owners, co-workers respectfully and clearly.

Physical stamina: ability to lift heavy items (e.g. furniture, appliances), climb ladders, work in varied environmental conditions (cold, heat, snow, etc.).
