Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks across manufacturing facilities, ensuring optimal operation of equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, including electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, Ohmmeters, and CMMS software
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to maintain and troubleshoot automated systems
- Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting as needed for facility upkeep
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures
- Supervise junior technicians or apprentices as required, providing guidance and leadership
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within CMMS systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in safety audits and training sessions
- Assist in facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC repairs, and general building upkeep
- Provide excellent customer service to internal departments by responding promptly to maintenance requests
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with strong mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and use of testing tools like Ohmmeters
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software is highly desirable
- Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting is a plus
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial maintenance environments
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
