Maintenance Technician

This is a First Shift Position, but coming in early and leaving late will be a factor.

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair. The maintenance tech will perform troubleshooting and repair of all production equipment including injection molders, conveyors, valve gate units, and stretch wrappers. The maintenance tech will also perform troubleshooting for auxiliary equipment, such as chillers, air compressors, thermolators, forklifts, and general maintenance of the plant. Maintenance tech works directly with machine operators, supervisors, and other maintenance staff to resolve mechanical issues that arise during the shift and off shift.

Duties

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings and testing equipment.
• Repair equipment, fixtures, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with define processes.
• Work independently and with other team members to complete repair in a safe and timely manner.
• Create and report repairs throughout the shift. Complete required work order paperwork, document parts and material usage.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. PPE is to be used where required.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential function of the job to ensure equipment and facility up time.

Requirements

• 3 years – experience in field or similar maintenance environment.
• 3 years – experience in position.
• Experience may include a combination of work experience and education
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
• Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross-functional team members.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics; electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
• Skilled in the use of shop equipment such as mill, lathe, bench grinder, drill press, and welding equipment.
• Proficiency skills with precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
• Required to lift up to 50lbs throughout shift
• Will need own toolbox and basic tools

Experience in with the following technologies

• Variable frequency drive (VFD), servo drives, and servo motor.
• Thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastic processing
• Nissei, Toshiba, and Mitsubishi injection molding machines
• Fanuc, Sepro, and Yushin robots
• HVAC including chillers and compressors
• Skilled on fabrication capabilities such as cutting and welding (mig, tig, and stick)
• Skilled in working with electrical systems including 480V,230V, and 24VDC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
