Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role is essential for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained in optimal condition, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. This position will be based on the road with service work at various locations within the Springfield, Peoria, Bloomington/Normal, Champaign and Decatur areas. Some work will commence after business hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs at multiple facility locations.
• Troubleshoot issues related to basic construction remodel items, plumbing issues, electrical issues, etc.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with staff and management regarding maintenance needs.
• Lead junior technicians or apprentices, providing guidance and leadership as necessary.

Skills

• Proficiency in construction knowledge.
• Experience in facilities maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of various systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Customer service skills to interact positively with team members and stakeholders.
• Leadership experience a plus.
