Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in an industrial environment, particularly within metal stamping or similar operations.

This role requires a broad knowledge of maintenance disciplines including mechanical systems, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication, and basic electrical repair. The Maintenance Technician may also assist in directing and coordinating maintenance activities as needed. Additional duties may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and basic electrical systems

• Complete welding, fabrication, and carpentry work as needed

• Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings

• Assist in coordinating maintenance activities and priorities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function

Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, candidates must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Education & Experience

• Completion of a two (2) year formalized technical program (including blueprint reading and interpretation), plus three (3) or more years of related work experience; or

• An equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience

• Prior experience in a metal stamping facility or other industrial or military environment strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach above shoulders; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally (typically waist-high and up to 200 feet)

• Ability to work in positions requiring close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts

• Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals

• Exposure to varying temperatures and occasional outdoor conditions

• Moderately high noise levels in the manufacturing environment
