8- Hour Shift, Monday – Friday

Position Summary

Working under the direction of the Facility Manager this position will provide routine maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment for assigned facilities. This will include performing a wide variety of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative maintenance tasks to repair and maintain these facilities. Duties will include regular inspection of fire and safety equipment.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance and Repair. Performs preventative maintenance for mechanical and electrical equipment. Performs minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary. Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies. Responds quickly in case of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel and follows safety procedures. Performs electrical system maintenance (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc). Assists in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary. Conducts monthly inspection of fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems and repair or schedule repairs when needed. Perform general upkeep procedures such as painting, carpentry, or mechanical repairs.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years as a Maintenance Technician or similar position.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience troubleshooting 480vAC/3/60 electrical systems.
• Basic computer skills.
• PLC experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
