About CK Capital Construction

CK Capital Construction is a growing residential renovation and property management company operating throughout the Akron area. We manage and improve a portfolio of single-family homes and are building a long-term in-house maintenance team.

We are seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to handle daily service calls, property turns, and smart-home installations across our portfolio.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, hands-on role responsible for:

• Daily maintenance requests from tenants
• Property turnover repairs
• General handyman tasks
• Installation of smart-home systems
• Quality control on completed renovation projects

You will be a core part of our in-house operations as we scale.

Key ResponsibilitiesProperty Maintenance

• Respond to tenant maintenance requests
• Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing issues (faucets, toilets, supply lines)
• Minor electrical repairs (switches, outlets, fixtures)
• Drywall patching and touch-up painting
• Door hardware and lock replacement
• Basic appliance installs and replacements
• General repairs to ensure properties remain rent-ready

Smart-Home Installation

• Install Ring doorbells
• Install Nest thermostats
• Install smart locks and keyless entry systems
• Install smart switches and USB outlets
• Light wiring for smart devices (where permitted)

Turnovers & Quality Control

• Complete punch-out lists after renovations
• Ensure final finish work meets company standards
• Assist with property readiness for new tenants

Qualifications

• 3+ years general maintenance or handyman experience
• Comfortable with minor plumbing and electrical work
• Experience installing smart-home devices preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage daily work orders
• Strong attention to detail
• Own tools required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation

• $45,000–$55,000 annually (based on experience)
