Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across a variety of systems including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment that supports our production goals and facility standards. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults and implement effective repairs.
- Conduct mechanical repairs including belt replacements, gear adjustments, and component replacements to ensure machinery operates smoothly.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose automation system issues and execute necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Carry out welding tasks for equipment fabrication or repair needs, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or lead maintenance team members during shift operations, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC system upkeep, and general building repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance roles with a focus on electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems is essential.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to fabricate or repair metal components safely.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Mechanical knowledge including understanding of gears, belts, motors, pumps, and other machinery components.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
