Maintenance Technician

<Duties>

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated machinery, ensuring seamless production flow.
  • Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity or modify machinery components.
  • Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings to accurately diagnose issues.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
  • Lead or supervise maintenance activities, including coordinating team efforts during complex repairs or projects such as residential painting or facilities upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing all maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or system adjustments within the facility.

<Skills>

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or facilities maintenance environments.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair; experience with schematics is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control.
  • Skilled in welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication projects.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals accurately.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
  • Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for facility aesthetic improvements.
  • Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is highly desirable; leadership skills are essential for effective coordination.
  • Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and troubleshoot circuits.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
