Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and repair of residential buildings and grounds. This role involves handling service requests, completing unit turnovers, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment while delivering excellent customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all assigned maintenance service requests in a timely manner
- Perform make-ready activities for vacant units
- Maintain and track inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of company-owned equipment
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- Assist with preventive maintenance programs
- Escalate unresolved maintenance issues to the Service Director
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests
- Maintain positive communication with residents, vendors, and team members
- Follow all company safety standards and policies at all times
- Comply with Fair Housing regulations and company policies
- Support weekend or after-hours work as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience in apartment or property maintenance preferred
- HVAC certification (Type I & II or Universal) required
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
- Strong skills in:
- Plumbing
- HVAC systems
- Electrical repairs
- Appliance maintenance
- Basic computer proficiency (work orders, online systems, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and active automobile insurance required
- Must have own set of personal tools
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the day
- Climb stairs, bend, kneel, crawl, and reach overhead as needed
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly (more occasionally)
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, and electrical systems
- Moderate noise level environment
Pay: $25.39 - $30.58 per hour
