Automotive Technician / Mechanic Responsibilities. You will be responsible for the following tasks in this role.
-
Perform line technician services specified on the service repair order with efficiency and per the dealership processes – familiarizing yourself with the service department & procedures
-
Routine inspections and maintenance
-
Continuously expanding your knowledge of new technologies and practice
-
Perform road tests for diagnosis of consumer’s complaint and verification of repair
-
Work as a team along with the service advisors, communicating client's vehicle needs
-
Attend manufacture-specific training classes
-
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
-
Comply with company safety policies and procedures
-
Strong knowledge of aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
-
Have a working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, and lift operation
-
Must be able to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
-
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service
-
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
-
Must have a valid driver's license
