Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to support the safety, functionality, and overall upkeep of district buildings and grounds. This position assists with routine facility maintenance, troubleshooting repairs, and facility improvements while working collaboratively with custodial staff and other departments. The position may also support basic maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment as part of the district's facility maintenance program.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Post-secondary training in building maintenance or a related trade is a plus.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Identify maintenance issues and complete repairs to ensure facilities remain safe and operational.

Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing leaks, electrical problems, broken fixtures, doors, and structural components.

Assist with troubleshooting building mechanical systems including HVAC and electrical components.

Assemble, install, and repair furniture, fixtures, and equipment throughout district facilities.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to support the efficiency and longevity of building systems and equipment.

Identify and address potential safety hazards within district buildings and grounds proactively.

Assist with snow and ice removal to ensure safe access to district buildings during winter weather.

Work collaboratively with custodial staff, faculty, and the Director of Buildings and Grounds to respond to maintenance requests and coordinate facility needs.

Follow district safety procedures and applicable regulations.

Assist with minor construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects as assigned.

Compensation And Benefits
Salary Range $50,000 - $65,000

The Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, The Chief School Business Officials, and Superintendent.
