GoodLife Innovations serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Kansas. We are seeking a
Maintenance Technician
to ensure that Company properties, vehicles, and equipment are properly functioning, well-maintained, and safe. In this role, you will perform a variety of preventive maintenance tasks, as well as repair and upkeep tasks. Travel to other locations may be required: GoodLife maintains multiple properties in three counties in KS (Johnson, Douglas, Sedgwick) and Arkansas. Vehicle, phone, tools, materials, and monthly budget provided.

Some duties include:

Conducting general maintenance duties in and around assigned properties (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, home appliances, janitorial upkeep, IT equipment installation)

Performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs of vehicles and adaptive equipment

Responding to maintenance requests and coordinating with staff on scheduling repairs, expected completion, repair/replacement costs, and vendor involvement

Maintaining safe and comfortable work, transportation, and living environments according to licensing, HUD and Section 8 standards, life safety codes, and company guidelines
Some qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training or certificates preferred

Knowledge of and skills in residential and commercial repairs, including plumbing and electrical systems, basic carpentry and painting, and experience in the safe operation of power tools and hand tools

Ability to perform medium-to-heavy work, including lifting up to 50lbs, standing for long periods, and repetitive physical movements

Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
