Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs across various systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations.

Duties

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and manufacturing equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system problems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
  • Execute repairs involving welding, electrical wiring, or mechanical adjustments with precision and safety in mind
  • Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and modify automated systems as needed
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders, parts inventory, and service logs
  • Supervise or assist with residential painting projects or other facility upgrades to enhance building aesthetics and functionality
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion
  • Lead or support facilities maintenance projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in troubleshooting diverse equipment issues
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and wiring techniques
  • Hands-on experience with welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and programming
  • Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively
  • Experience with facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential environments
  • Supervising experience in maintenance teams or projects is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on internal stakeholder satisfaction
  • Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record keeping
  • Leadership qualities that foster teamwork, safety awareness, and continuous improvement
