Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our manufacturing and residential facilities. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs with precision. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to prevent downtime and ensure safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust automated processes for optimal performance.
- Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and structural integrity.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including supervising team members or contractors when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and conducting safety audits regularly.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance support.
- Lead small teams during maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership skills while ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, PLC programming, welding techniques, and electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Electrical experience with the ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical circuits effectively.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces as required.
