Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. In this dynamic role, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and oversee repairs to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive environment. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and support our commitment to quality and safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters, schematics, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) to diagnose faults accurately.
  • Perform welding repairs, electrical wiring, and mechanical adjustments to restore equipment functionality swiftly.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness through residential painting, general facilities maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving multiple team members while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and control panels to facilitate accurate repairs.
  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring machinery operates efficiently with minimal downtime.
  • Use CMMS software to log maintenance activities, schedule future tasks, and track equipment history for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from production teams or facility staff.
  • Assist in supervising or mentoring junior technicians or apprentices to foster a collaborative team environment.

Experience

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and electrical systems is essential.
  • Experience using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance teams is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of CMMS platforms for work order management and asset tracking.

Pay: $23.96 - $28.85 per hour
