We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our New Mexico operations. The candidate must stay in Hobbs, New Mexico during the work week. The schedule will be M-F.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Experience with I/O module wiring (Syncing, Sourcing, Dry/Wet), PLC/RTU panel construction, retrofits, and field terminations.
- Installation and wiring, and maintenance of control panels, automation systems, terminations, related electrical components, and facility start-ups
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within automation systems, including PLCs, RTUs, and SCADA networks.
- Ensure all work meets the full Scope of Work (SOW) and adheres to engineered drawings with precise attention to detail.
- Provide technical support on automated systems and collaborate with field technicians to maintain continuous, efficient operations.
- Provide hands-on training and mentoring to technicians to strengthen team capabilities.
- Actively work toward obtaining a Journeyman Electrician License and/or an advanced Automation Technical certification.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Diagnose and repair issues within electrical, automation, instrumentation, and control systems, including low-voltage circuits, PLC-RTU panels, and end devices.
- Perform continuity, voltage, resistance, and communication testing on electrical-automation equipment, and calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
- Install new electrical components, conduit, wiring, and process control instruments such as transmitters, controllers, and analyzers
- Skilled in calibrating MAG meters, Turbines, Pressure Transmitters (PT), and FOX instruments.
- Strong understanding of HART and 485 protocols; expert in 485/Modbus wiring and troubleshooting.
- Proficient with ROC800, FB107, FB3000, and Allen Bradley PLC/RTU models.
- Capable of implementing and upgrading automated systems to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Knowledgeable in a wide range of sensors and instruments used in oil and gas operations, including pressure, temperature, and motion detection.
- Advanced understanding of electrical circuitry and safe use of tools for installation, testing, and repair.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
