Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex systems, and executing repairs promptly. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, HVAC units, and facility infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Conduct repairs including welding, electrical wiring, and mechanical adjustments to restore equipment functionality efficiently.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
  • Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems within manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
  • Lead facilities maintenance projects including residential painting, equipment upgrades, or safety improvements while supervising team members when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
  • Assist in training junior technicians or new team members to foster a knowledgeable and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems including wiring, schematics, and troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Hands-on welding skills with the ability to perform metal repairs effectively.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in industrial settings.
  • Strong understanding of schematics, technical manuals, and facility layout drawings.
  • Experience with CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively across teams and document work accurately.
  • Supervising experience is preferred to lead maintenance projects or oversee team activities confidently.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment or working at heights as needed.
