Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other equipment to minimize downtime and extend lifespan
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air conditioning units, HVAC/R systems, and mechanical components with precision and efficiency
• Read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately
• Conduct inspections of building systems, including HVAC/R, refrigeration, electrical wiring, and mechanical installations to identify potential problems early
• Lead small maintenance projects or assist construction teams during facility upgrades or renovations
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to ensure continuous operations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a focus on appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical equipment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals
• Hands-on experience in equipment repair, air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and general maintenance tasks
• Knowledge of construction practices is a plus for supporting facility upgrades or installations
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or lead small teams when necessary
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting complex issues
• Valid certifications in HVAC/R or refrigeration are preferred; relevant training in appliance repair or service technician roles is highly valued
