Position Summary
Whitney Management Corp. is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Riverhead, NY. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining our communities and delivering quality service to residents.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs
- Complete carpentry work including cabinets, drywall, windows, and locks
- Conduct general maintenance such as painting, flooring repairs, and cleaning
- Maintain grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and debris cleanup
Operations
- Respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours
- Handle on-call emergencies (respond within 15 minutes; arrive within 1 hour)
- Manage and complete work orders using property management systems (RealPage experience a plus)
- Maintain make-ready units and ensure readiness for new residents
Inventory & Vendors
- Track, order, and maintain maintenance inventory
- Coordinate with vendors and schedule services as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- HVAC certification required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work on-call, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Basic English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
