Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our incredible team at Estuary View & Croft Lodge. If you are someone who is passionate about maintaining safe and comfortable environments and enjoys hands-on work, we would love to hear from you!

Locations: Teignmouth TQ14
Hours: 9am-2pm Mon - Thurs - 5 hours a day
Competitive hourly rate

Estuary View is a 36 bedroom care home with beautiful gardens and an internal courtyard sensory garden and Croft Lodge overlooks the bay with sunshine flooding the gardens and house.

As we expand, we're looking for a Maintenance Technician who can ensure that our care homes are kept in excellent condition, providing a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Your Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key part in the upkeep of our care homes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance on internal and external areas of our buildings.
  • Responding promptly to repair requests, addressing issues such as leaks, faulty appliances, and fixtures.
  • Conducting inspections to identify potential safety hazards and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining outdoor areas including paving, walkways and waste storage areas.
  • Conducting regular equipment checks and logging maintenance activities.
  • Testing fire safety systems and water temperatures in line with health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Experience in general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
  • Vocational training in maintenance or related fields is preferred but not essential.
