Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair appliances, refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Conduct troubleshooting for equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Assist with installation projects, including construction tasks related to facility upgrades or new equipment setups.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure accurate documentation.
• Support team leadership by mentoring junior technicians and sharing technical knowledge to promote a collaborative work environment.
• Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment repair.
• Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Familiarity with construction practices related to facility maintenance or upgrades is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members and coordinate maintenance activities efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in handling HVAC/R equipment and electrical systems.
• Prior experience working with air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, or similar mechanical systems is highly desirable. Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
