Maintenance Technician

Overview Someone who handles a wide range of building and property maintenance tasks. Performs repairs in residential and commercial spaces, including basic plumbing fixes, minor electrical work, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general construction‑related upkeep. Ensures structures, systems, and equipment stay in safe, working condition through routine maintenance and on‑the‑spot troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Strong problem-solving skills- you diagnose not just fix.
• Lead small maintenance projects or assist construction teams during facility upgrades or renovations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used; ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Respond swiftly to emergency repair requests to restore critical systems efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and implement best practices for equipment longevity.

Skills

• Proven service technician experience with a focus on troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration technology.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to guide junior technicians or coordinate maintenance tasks within a team environment.
• Construction experience is a plus for supporting facility upgrades or renovation projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward maintenance and safety compliance.
