Maintenance Technician

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
• Conduct appliance repairs and service technician tasks efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining safety standards.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs effectively.
• Lead or assist with construction or renovation projects related to facility maintenance when needed.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management, prioritizing urgent issues to minimize operational disruptions.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician in a commercial or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing appliances, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and related equipment.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration principles.
• Ability to perform equipment repair tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Leadership qualities that enable effective teamwork and guidance during maintenance projects.
• Construction or building maintenance experience is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential. Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
