Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for basic daily Preventative Maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools. As well as working on down machines to quickly and safely get them back up and running for production.

Hours

The hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Start time and finish time can be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Receive general and specific instructions from supervision and then carries out the work unsupervised.
• Regular PM's on all machinery and equipment.
• Maintain records of PM's and any emergency repairs needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment for you and all other team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Will perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be familiar with electrical (120v and 480v) and pneumatic machines.
• Must be familiar with plumbing PVC pipe.
• Must be able to weld or willing to learn.
• Must be able to do things safely.
• Must be able to do basic math.
• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must be able to report any safety and quality issues/problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Must be able to work under immediate supervision.
• Must be willing to contribute to a rotating on call emergency call support system.
• Must use lockout tag out procedures.

Would like

• Would like the ability to read blueprints and other technical diagrams.
• Would like the ability to drive a forklift.
• Would like the ability to work on air compressors.
• Would like the ability to work overtime or non-regular hours if needed.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds normally or Team lifting anything more.
• Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments.

Bilingual for English and Spanish is a Plus, but not required.

Plastic extrusion experience is a Plus, but not required.

We are expanding to a brand-new building, and you must be ok working here until the end of the year then moving to a new building.

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
