Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused Maintenance Technician to join our residential apartment community. This position requires the technician to live on-site and provide exceptional maintenance support to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents.
The ideal candidate will have experience in general apartment maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent resident service. Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs including:
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Appliance repair
- Carpentry
- Drywall and painting
- Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the community.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including inspections, repairs, and touch-ups.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Maintain property grounds, common areas, and building systems.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
- Work closely with the property management team to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and inventory.
- Follow all company safety procedures and local building codes.
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- HVAC certification preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
On-Call Requirements
- Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies.
- Must reside in the provided on-site apartment as a condition of employment.
- Ability to respond promptly to emergencies affecting residents, building systems, or property operations.
