Maintenance Technician

Property management company seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a community in Lubbock, TX. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the physical assets, general maintenance repairs, apartment make-readies, and preventative maintenance for the apartment community.

Essential Job Duties:

· Turn vacant units according to policy.

· Execute preventative maintenance program.

· Inventory control including ordering of all materials and maintaining inventory. Knowledgeable of competitive pricing of supplies.

· Perform property inspections.

· Maintains a clean and orderly shop.

· Adheres to and complies with company safety policies and rules.

· Assists with resident functions as required.

· Complete a wide variety of residential service requests, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible.

· Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance, service requests, and make-ready status.

· Make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry wall, building exteriors, and appliances.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on- call emergencies as needed.

Skills Required:

· Great time management and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication skills

· High level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations (pool, appliance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)

· HVAC/EPA certification.

· Requires ownership of hand tools

· One (1) year experience in multifamily property maintenance preferred.

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Strong customer service skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Property maintenance: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• EPA Certification (Preferred)
