Record repairs and maintenance performed.

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Complete maintenance work by requested due dates.

Actively pursue measures to reduce downtime on plant equipment, identify opportunities and take measures to reduce waste.

Suggest cost-saving upgrades to equipment and changes to improve performance of equipment.

Source and order parts and supplies when needed.

Support continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events facility wide.

Oversee outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.

Assist with the development and maintenance of SOPs and the Preventative Maintenance program.

Assists manager in overseeing major installation or repair projects.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for additional duties and tasks as directed by his or her supervisor.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Trade school courses or similar formal training from past employer required. One or more of the following Professional Certifications preferred; electrical, hydraulic, PLC, welding, machine equipment, HVAC, or plumbing.

Experience: Two years of full-time Industrial Maintenance experience in an industrial environment performing maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems preferred. Experience working with TPM or PM programs preferred. In-depth knowledge and experience working with electrical controls is strongly preferred.
- Skills and Key Attributes: Self-motivated, demonstrated mechanical ability, blueprint understanding, ability to use measuring equipment, attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills. Ability to demonstrate understanding and knowledge of general industrial maintenance, PLC programming, welding, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and machining in both theory and practical application. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment. Ability to use MS Office at an intermediate level required. Ability to communicate effectively through written documentation and verbally.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, walk, kneel, stretch, and stand for extended periods of time. Work at heights of up to 30 feet. Work in confined spaces, indoors and outdoors in all climates and unclean environments with fumes, dust, and poor ventilation.
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day facility upkeep, including manufacturing equipment repair and preventative maintenance to assure the facility and equipment is maintained and in top condition.
The 2nd Shift schedule runs Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM, offering a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts. This shift includes a $2.00/hour differential. We offer competitive pay based on each candidate’s skills, knowledge, and experience.
