Maintenance Technician – Food Production Facility

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a leading Food Production Facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing equipment in a food processing environment, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and food safety standards. This role is critical in maintaining the operational efficiency of our facility while adhering to sanitation and quality guidelines.

Shifts:

Tuesday-Saturday (10 am - 8:30 pm)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including packaging machinery and processing systems.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP, and CGMP standards throughout all maintenance activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and maintain optimal production levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in accordance with food safety protocols.
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to maintenance tasks.
• Operate forklifts safely for the movement of materials and equipment as needed.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately for compliance and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a food production, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of food industry equipment, conveyors, motors, and pumps is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
