Maintenance Technician for Manufacturing Plant - 3+ Yrs Experience Required

Dayshift: Monday - Friday

Minimum 40 hours per week - overtime possible.

Salary:

Job purpose

We are seeking an individual responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment in a concrete roof tile manufacturing facility. This role supports plant operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Duties and responsibilities

· Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems from 120V to 480V three-phase power.

· Diagnose and maintain 24VDC control wiring systems.

· Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

· Troubleshoot motor controls, VFDs, starters, relays and sensors.

· Basic knowledge of PLC systems (preferred).

· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on:

o Conveyors (belt, chain, roller systems)

o Pneumatic systems (valves, cylinders, regulators)

o Hydraulic systems (pumps, hoses, cylinders, power units)

· Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform necessary repairs.

· Align motors, replace bearings, chains, belts, and gearboxes.

· Conduct inspections to identify wear, misalignment or safety concerns.

· Follow all plant safety policies and OSHA regulations.

· Complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records.

· Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.

· Work collaboratively with production staff to minimize downtown.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

· 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred).

· Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (120V-480V systems).

· Experience with 24VDC control circuits.

· Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.

· Experience working with conveyors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

· Ability to use multimeters, hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.

· Written and Verbal Communication skills.

· Ability to read and follow instructions.

· Ability to work as part of team.

· Organizational skills.

· Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.

· Attention to Detail.

· Basic knowledge of PLC systems (preferred).

· Experience in heavy industrial or concrete manufacturing environments (preferred).

· Welding and fabrication experience (preferred).

Working conditions

Working conditions are normal for a concrete manufacturing plant environment. Work may require frequent weekend work.

Physical requirements

Physical ability to complete job duties, which may include standing or squatting for extended periods, frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, working in a space that lacks climate control or lifting objects with an established maximum weight up to 50 lbs. – 75 lbs. Be comfortable working in dusty, noisy, and temperature-variable conditions typical of concrete manufacturing facilities.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
