The Maintenance Technician III position requires the ability to support production needs through performing general maintenance of shop equipment, welding repairs and/or building jigs and fixtures, prototypes, die sharpening, bending tool repair and building maintenance.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform general maintenance of shop equipment and repairing and replacing parts on such mechanical equipment such as presses, drills, welders, robots, spray paint systems, laser welding units.
- Perform all required preventative maintenance items on general manufacturing equipment.
- Complete general maintenance projects.
- Perform a variety of specialized operations of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal parts including managing speed, feed, and application of equipment.
- Build fixtures and jigs from layout to finished product, following print specifications, and using mathematical calculations.
- Perform die and bender tooling maintenance work.
- Other jobs as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-4 years minimum. experience working in a manufacturing and fabrication environment and working from blueprints.
- 2-3 years lathe and mill work experience is preferred
- Knowledge of assembly processes including gauging, sub-assembly, and final assembly.
