Maintenance Technician (Machine Shop/ CNC)

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment in a machine shop environment, with a strong emphasis on CNC machinery. Your expertise will ensure optimal production performance, safety, and efficiency across the plant. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures machines operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on CNC machinery manual machines, and shop equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose CNC machine issues (servo alarms, spindle problems, axis faults, etc.)
  • Repair or replace components such as motors, belts, ball screws, sensors, and tooling systems.
  • Read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and machine manuals
  • Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and parts inventory
  • Coordinate with machinists and supervisors to minimize production downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and lockout/tagout procesdures

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience using diagnostic tool (multimeter)
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding or fabrication skills (a plus)
  • Experience with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS)

Work Environment

  • Industrial machine shop setting
  • Exposure to noise, coolant, oils and moving machinery
  • Standing, lifting, and working in tight or awkward spaces
  • Use of PPE required at all times

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
