Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician for the night shift to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our manufacturing facility. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting continuous production processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial maintenance, technical expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical experience. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues with low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Maintain and repair HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal climate control within the facility.
- Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately.
- Support emergency repairs during night shifts to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
- Collaborate with team members on analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues efficiently.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, reports, and records within CMMS for compliance and tracking purposes.
- Assist with installation projects, welding (<LOCATION> welding), and system upgrades as needed to improve plant operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards including high voltage protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Experience
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of industrial electrician practices and low/high voltage systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, schematics interpretation, and mechanical maintenance techniques.
- Experience operating field service equipment such as scissor lifts or similar machinery.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues efficiently.
- Prior experience working in a night shift environment is preferred but not mandatory; flexibility is valued.
- Military background or disciplined field service experience is considered an asset due to its emphasis on safety protocols and technical training.
