Maintenance Technician
to support our 160-acre home-style campus.
Part-time Maintenance Technician Will Need To Assist With
Facilities Maintenance
-
Perform maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment, and systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).

Execute maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or facility upgrades.
Event Support
-
Assist with the setup and tear-down of on-site events, ensuring all facility-related logistics are executed efficiently.

Assist Maintenance Manager in providing facility support for special events and gatherings.
Volunteer & Community Engagement
-
Assist with volunteer-led projects by providing tools, materials, and guidance to ensure successful completion.

Serve as a group leader for volunteer groups during service days.
Youth Work Program Management

Supervise and mentor youth employed in the Ranch’s work program, providing instruction, accountability, and encouragement.

Foster a positive, structured work environment that supports skill-building and personal growth.
Job Type: Part-time working up to 24 hours per week.

Requirements
Part-time Maintenance Technicians will need:

Minimum of High School diploma or GED.

Two or more years of experience in general facilities operations, including general maintenance and repair, and lawn care experience preferred.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical requirements: Ability to lift, life overhead, and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to climb stairs frequently. Ability to remain balanced to: stoop, squat, knell, crouch, twist, turn, and reach down, forward and overhead repetitively. Ability to push/pull and maneuver maintenance equipment through grounds/buildings.

Must be of good character and supportive of the programs, policies, and ideals of GVF.

Must be able to pass a health exam, drug and background check, possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by GVF insurance carrier.
