Location: East Orange, Newark & Irvington, NJ

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

Company Overview

We are a growing property management company seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of three mid-sized residential apartment buildings located throughout East Orange, Newark, and Irvington.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across multiple properties
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Ensure properties remain clean, safe, and well-maintained
• Perform apartment turnovers and unit preparation
• Perform regular trash removal and maintain cleanliness of common areas and exterior grounds
• Perform snow removal, salting, and ice management during winter weather events
• Perform basic landscaping duties, including lawn care, weed control, trimming, and general grounds maintenance
• Maintain maintenance records and communicate updates to management
• Be available for occasional on-call emergency maintenance requests outside of regular business hours

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, handyman, or property maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently
• Experience with landscaping and snow removal preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle for travel between properties
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, tools, landscaping materials, and supplies as needed

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary of $50,000 - $55,000 annually, based on experience
