Maintenance Technician - Residential Home Repairs - 5 to 7 years Experience Required

Alden Short, Inc., a property management company in the Dallas area is urgently seeking to hire two new members for our Maintenance Team. We are looking for experienced Residential Home Repair Maintenance Technicians who can handle routine home repairs/remodeling work orders and other required tasks on our single family residences which are located throughout the DFW area (Pleasant Grove, Mesquite, Garland, Oak Cliff, Richardson, South Dallas, Grand Prairie and DeSoto). We require individuals with HVAC Certification along with Plumbing, & general home maintenance repair skills. Applicants must have working knowledge of Home or Apartment repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Complete home repair work and repair orders in a timely fashion
• Estimate time and extent of home repairs
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Maintain material and supply inventory
• Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in home repairs/remodeling maintenance.
• Familiarity with home construction maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload - must be able to lift 50# or more
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must have a working Truck or Van - no other vehicles acceptable
• Must be computer-literate w/MS Office experience and familiarity w/Yardi and/or Vericlock is a plus
• Pay Dependent on skills and performance
• Must be able to work the occasional evening and weekend on a rotating basis for on-call work assignments
