Maintenance Technician - Swing Shift

This position is responsible for proactively maintaining and repairing plant and production equipment, general building and grounds maintenance, and assisting machine operators with equipment failures and problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret equipment manuals & work orders to perform required maintenance
• Emergency repairs on production equipment to keep lines operational
• Scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment including replacement of failed components such as bearings, belts, motors, etc
• Diagnoses problems and replace or repair parts as needed
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, using specifications and/or blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools
• Clean and lubricate parts as required
• Order parts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Commitment to maintain and promote a safe work environment
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Authorized to work in the United States (We use E-Verify)
• Able to speak, read and write in English a must.
• Ability to trace and diagnose electrical systems
• Ability to replace electrical and hydraulic motors
• Ability to maintain and trouble shoot pneumatic equipment and air compressors
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, basic blueprints and schematics
• 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to determine and resolve basic mechanical issues
• Ability to work in a warm and cold environment
• Able to lift, squat, bend and work in tight spaces
• Experience with PLC automation a plus
• Structural welding experience a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Schedule:

The hours for this position is 1:30pm to 10pm Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays with overtime pay.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
