Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive Facilities & Tooling Technician to manage tooling, maintenance, and facility needs for our aircraft painting operations. This role ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations while supporting production efficiency. The position also provides backup support for warehouse and logistics tasks when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with OSHA, Florida environmental regulations, and DFJ requirements.
• Ensure proper hazardous waste disposal, signage, and DOT shipping compliance.
• Complete hazardous waste inspections and logs accurately and on time.
• Manage tooling
• Clean, store, and account for tools.
• Ensure calibration and functionality.
• Maintain availability for production needs.
• Coordinate and facilitate hazardous and non-hazardous waste removals.
• Communicate with Production Managers and Leads to ensure tooling and equipment needs are met.
• Plan routine equipment and tooling services based on aircraft schedules.
• (Future implementation) Process SAP service and facility repair requests.
• Inspect and replace paint filters as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years experience with small tooling maintenance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills; SAP experience preferred.
• Familiarity with hazardous waste handling and DOT shipping requirements.

Preferred:

• Experience in aviation or manufacturing environments.
• Warehouse experience in a manufacturing facility.

Schedule

• Full-time position; shift flexibility (overtime and weekends) will be required to support production schedules.
