Maintenance Unit Make Ready

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Unit Make Ready professional to join our team. This role involves preparing and maintaining facilities and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, and supervisory experience. Duties

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using schematics and technical manuals
• Operate and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment
• Conduct residential painting, welding, and general repairs to prepare units for occupancy or operational readiness
• Use tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and CMMS software to diagnose issues and document maintenance activities
• Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Manage facilities maintenance tasks including cleaning, repairs, inspections, and upgrades
• Lead efforts in manufacturing or facilities environments to optimize unit readiness and operational performance
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly and professionally

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and electrical wiring
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software
• Proficiency in welding, residential painting, and general facilities maintenance
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately
• Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in manufacturing or facilities environments
• Supervising experience with leadership skills to manage teams effectively
• Competence in using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination
• Customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries professionally

This position requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background who can lead maintenance operations efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their expertise through relevant experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
