What does a Rouse Maintenance Worker do?
- Maintain the grounds, facilities, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures ensuring a successful and viable, maintenance program.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on grounds, facilities, and equipment as necessary/directed including, but not limited to: heating and cooling; plumbing; plastering; electrical; carpentry; and mechanical.
- Enhances maintenance department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What are the requirements to be a Maintenance Worker at the Rouse?
Education:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
- An approved college or course credits in institutional maintenance is recommended and/or other applicable courses of study or experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric, carpentry, and mechanical HVAC required either in formal or field experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 1-year experience in maintenance or related position required.
- Maintenance experience in a health-related facility a plus.
- Must have basic knowledge of schematics and possess a valid and clear driver’s license.
