Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation, safety, and upkeep of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in industrial maintenance. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on various equipment and systems to support continuous manufacturing operations. The technician will utilize technical knowledge and analysis skills to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician tools (ohmmeter, ammeter), and precision measuring instruments to diagnose issues.
- Perform welding (<LOCATION> welding) and other fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain HVAC/R systems, including troubleshooting high voltage and low voltage electrical components.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
- Operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas.
- Assist with field service activities, including customer service interactions when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols related to high voltage, electrical work, and industrial mechanics to ensure a safe working environment.
- Read schematics, technical drawings, and system manuals to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial mechanic work within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, hydraulics, welding (<LOCATION> welding), electrical systems (including high voltage), and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and analysis skills.
- Background in industrial electrician work or electrical maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with field service operations and customer service principles is a plus.
- Military experience in relevant technical roles is advantageous but not required.
