Maintenance Worker

Tamassee Hope Village is a non-profit children and family service organization that has been a place of hope, healing and learning for families in need for 100 years. We are looking for a Maintenance Worker to Perform preventative and corrective maintenance services on building systems and equipment as scheduled and as required. This position will assist in the maintenance of all buildings and grounds owned by Tamassee; assuring a safe and well enhanced environment in which families and staff are able to work and live.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OVERVIEW

General facilities maintenance skills required (2-3 years), including carpentry, plumbing, and residential electrical. HVAC and industrial electrical skills are a plus.

Seasonal landscaping as required.

Buildings: Assist in maintaining the preventative maintenance program for the facility. Assist with repairs on equipment or buildings based on work orders received from the administration office. Completes service requests in a timely manner, according to policy, assuring efficiency of hours and materials.

Grounds: Operate lawn mowers safely for cutting grass. Operate weed and hedge trimmers as required for lawn maintenance. Inspect grounds for detection and removal of material or items that could potential damage equipment or cause injury. Inspect all property at least once a week for vandalism, trash, etc.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent general education degree. Must be able to pass a drug test. No criminal history and a clean driving record.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
