MAINTENANCE WORKER

HOTEL LOCATED SPRINGDALE / ZION, UTAH

FULL-TIME, YEAR-ROUND position available to provide basic maintenance services related to the upkeep of our upscale hotel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Variable 8-hour shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of guest rooms and exteriors of buildings.
• Assist other crewmembers with various projects.
• Help when needed with tasks related to grounds or pool.
• Interact with and greet hotel guests in a friendly manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

ONLY candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:

• Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of actual maintenance or construction experience
• Have basic working knowledge of general repairs, i.e., plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, dry wall, painting, and other maintenance skills
• Ability to use small hand tools and power equipment
• Ability to drive heavy equipment is a plus (backhoe and forklift)
• Ability to perform responsibly and independently according to manager's daily task list
• Must be in good health and have stamina, strength, and mobility to regularly perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat
• Physical requirements include repetitive activities such as walking, climbing ladders, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unaided and 75 lbs. with help
• Friendly and motivated team player able to work well with other staff members and converse pleasantly with guests
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Good organization, computer and time management skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
• CPO or other certifications is a plus

COMPENSATION

• Full time year-round employment
• Starting at $23/hr.
