Maintenance Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and outdoor spaces. In this energetic role, you will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including landscaping, equipment repair, snow removal, and general facility upkeep. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a safe, attractive, and functional environment for staff, visitors, and the community. Responsibilities

• Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, tree trimming, gardening, lawn care, and landscape upkeep to maintain aesthetic appeal.
• Operate hand tools, power tools.
• Carry out irrigation system inspections and repairs to promote healthy plant growth and water efficiency.
• Maintain hardscape features such as walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures.
• Assist with tree care activities including pruning, trimming, planting, and removal as needed for safety and landscape design.

Requirements

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools for repairs or construction projects.
• Prior experience in landscaping, lawn care, gardening or horticulture is highly preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely in various outdoor environments.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including tree care, mowing, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation.
• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures related to building systems and outdoor facilities.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects, digging with shovels or operating snow plows during winter seasons.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to facility upkeep and outdoor beautification.
